Fixed Gear
Bottom set gill nets or entangling nets shall mean any fixed
gear made up of a single piece of net, fixed,
or capable of being fixed by any means to the bottom of the sea
Trammel nets shall mean any fixed gear made up of two or more pieces of net hung
jointly in parallel on a
single headline fixed, or capable of being fixed, by any means to the bottom of
the sea

Notes
(1) Mesh Size Ranges 31 - 49mm & 71 - 89mm are banned.
(2) Target Species must account for 70% of the Catch.
(3) The minimum percentage of target species may be obtained by aggregating the quantities of all the target species caught.
(4) Provisions for fixed gear do not apply to salmonids, lampreys or hagfish.
(5) No more than 30% cod should be retained from nets whose mesh is less than 140mm.
